Freedom To Marry & Marriage Equality Day, Feb. 3rd & 12th

Marriage Equality New York, Empire State Pride Agenda, Join the Impact NY Chapters, and Freedom To Marry are working togther for an event in Albany, NY for Marriage Equality Day.  

The groups are meeting with legistlators to talk about equal marriage rights. 

Freedom to Marry Day is not a federal holiday and was established in 1999 by Lamda Legal.  Source

The event is $35 for lunch and tranportation or $10 for lunch and registration only. If you’d like to register for this event you can do so here

Freedom To Marry Day 

On February, 12th groups will be going to the city clerks office to request marriage licenses and to protest and educate the public.  This is timely since NYC just spent 12.3 Million dollars to revamp it’s bereau. 

The event will take place at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau between 7:30-10:00am

Subway: Brooklyn Bridge Station on the 4, 5, & 6 lines; Park Place Station on the 2 & 3 lines; City Hall Station on the N & R lines; Chambers Street Station on the A & C lines
